Calendar of Events
This calendar is actually maintained by one old miserable elf. She (we think it is a she) will not let anyone else touch it, or even know the password. Elfs have a different time frame and calendar from humans and thus our trouble begins. What you get here will probably be old, out of date and not quite right. Always check frequently, and email or call us to check. We don't let the (b...) old bat near the phones - it's their funny ears ya know!
Highlights
- Wine Tasting Begins
Starting October 25, 2009 Elfs Farm started wine tasting of seven different wines. More information is available at the Winery info page. - Late Fall Sweet Cider
Elfs Farm is now producing it's seasonal Mac/Honey Crisp Cider Blend. It has a Brix of 11.1 degree and a Ph of 3.8. It starts out with a nice sweet taste and finishes with that beautiful Macintosh tart flavor. This cider will be around for several weeks. The pre-eminent and more expensive Honey Crisp apple will be around for another three to four weeks. This blend is an exquisite seasonal two apple sweet cider. None of ELFS Farm cider has preservatives or additives to alter the natural flavor of the freshest Lake Champlain Valley apples that can be used in a cider. Our cider will refrigerate for three to four weeks or you can freeze it for later enjoyment. At any rate, get it while it lasts.
LAKE CHAMPLAIN GRAPE GROWERS ASSOCIATION
This is the area association for grape growers, vineyardists, winery's and wine aficionados. There are three levels of membership available. The first is for the professional, second is for industry members and the third is for wine enthusiasts. The association typically meets every second Thursday of the month at six P.M. We welcome all interested in grapes or wine.
